Mayahi criticizes attempt to withdraw confidence from Government

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Aziz al-Mayahi, pointed out that “The attempt to withdraw confidence from the current Government is against the public will.”

Speaking to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com), he said “The current government is elected by people and no side has the right to topple it because this will be against the democracy and the political process.”

“The calls for withdrawing confidence aim at spoiling the democratic process rather than correcting it as some sides claim,” he added.

“The current government accomplished many tasks that deserve our support,” he mentioned.

“The Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, became stronger after the US forces withdrawal from Iraq and the success of the Arab Summit in Baghdad,” he concluded.
