Zebari meets Ambassadors of 5 + 1 group
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) As part of the preparations for the 5 + 1 group meetings in Baghdad, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Hoshyar Zebari, met at the Ministry Headquarter the accredited Ambassadors in Iraq of the permanent members of the UN Security Council and Germany as well as the Representative of the European Union.
A statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs received by Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) cited “During the meeting, the Minister briefed, to the Ambassadors, the adopted administrative and logistic procedures and arrangements to host the 5 +1 group meeting and the EU with the Islamic Republic of Iran in Baghdad on 23/5/2012 concerning the Iranian nuclear program, in addition to Iraq’s readiness to provide all requirements to guarantee the success of the meeting.”
The statement added “On the other hand, Minister Zebari met on the Iranian Ambassador to Iraq, Hassan Danaie Far, and his accompanying delegation, on last Tuesday, and briefed the procedures and arrangements for the meeting to the delegation.”
“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs was and still on constant contact with the European and Iranian sides to listen to their notes about the organizing, technical, and protocol aspects of the meeting and respond to them,” the statement concluded.
