Baghdad, Tehran sign agreement to twin "Fao port" with Iranian ports

Karbala (IraqiNews.com) The Iranian Ministry of Transportation concluded with the Iraqi government a contract to twin the Fao port with the Iranian ports. The Iranian ministry of Roads and Cities Constructing Ali Nigzad said, in a press conference held in Karbala Governorate headquarter and attended by IraqiNews.com’s correspondent, that “We signed a contract with the Iraqi side to twin Fao port with the Iranian ports which Baghdad intends to establish in Basra,” pointing out “Another agreement was signed to allow the personal vehicles of the Iranian citizens to enter Karbala province and vice versa for the Iraqis.” He added “We, also, conducted a memorandum to increase the number of the Iranian religious visitors to the holy shrines in Karbala.” The Iranian Minister of Roads Ali Nigzad has arrived Baghdad yesterday, Wednesday, and met with some Iraqi officials among them the Premier Maliki.
