Harb: Speaker could not cancel Anbar PC decision over dismissing its Head

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The legal expert, Tariq Harb, confirmed that the Parliament Speaker has no authority to cancel the decision of Anbar Provincial Council over dismissing its Head.

A statement by Harb received by Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) cited “The Parliament Speaker has not authority to cancel the decision,” noting that “Anbar PC can vote again over decision or accept the objection of its head according to 7th Article of Provincial Law NO 21 in 2008.”

Earlier, MP, Ahmed al-Alwani, of the Iraqiya Slate announced that the parliament canceled the decision of Anbar Provincial Council over dismissing its Head, Mamoun al-Alwani, on Thursday.

Anbar Provincial Council voted on dismissing its Head, Mamoun al-Alwani, during its session which is held on last Sunday.
