MP denies extending period specified to Maliki in Erbil 5-side meeting

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Hussein al-Shalan, of the Iraqiya Slate denied “Extending the period specified to the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, by the five-side meeting which was held in Erbil.”

Shalan, who attended Najaf meeting, assured to IraqiNews.com “Najaf meeting, which was attended by most political leaders, was positive,” noting that “All the political sides stressed the necessity of ending the current crisis.”

“All sides emphasized relieving the tension of the media statements to settle the disputes through dialogues,” he concluded.

A crucial political meeting was held in Najaf province on Saturday, some political leaders attended the meeting while some others did not.
