Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Hanan al-Fatlawi, of the State of Law Coalition described the meeting that was held in Najaf as “An attempt to escape from the crisis and not a settlement to the crisis that faces the political process in Iraq.”

Speaking to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com), she stated “Najaf meeting does not bring something new and does not differ from the previous meetings in addition to the negative massages that it has.”

“The first of the negative massages is the absence of the President of Kurdistan Region, Masoud Barazani, in the meeting which is considered as a transcendence letter to the other attendants of the meeting,” she added.

“Not involving the other political blocs in the meeting complicated the situation where some main blocs within the Iraqiya Slate in addition to some Kurdish blocs did not participate in the meeting,” she concluded.

The political leaders held a meeting on Saturday in the Sadr’s house to discuss the political crisis after the end of the set time to Maliki to respond to the letter of Erbil meeting.
