Daham rules out withdrawing confidence from Maliki
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The head of the Change and Will Alliance, Mahmoud al-Daham, ruled out withdrawing confidence from the Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki, in the current political deals.
In a press statement received by IraqiNews.com on Sunday, he expected that “The political leaders will resume their deals to withdraw confidence from Maliki,” describing the political process as” Having different attitudes.”
“The meeting that was held in Najaf province did not show clear resolutions in spite of the end of the (15) days set by the former meeting held in Erbil,” he added, noting that “We did not get any positive or negative results from Najaf meeting.”
“Najaf meeting and the next meetings that are supposed to be held will not settle all the pending issues that are more than 85 issues, but they will keep postponing them,” he added.
“Unifying the attitudes among the political blocs will help to settle the disputes according to the constitution or the political deal rather than holding meetings that do not help to settle the disputes,” he concluded.
The political leaders held a meeting on Saturday at the residence of the head of the Sadr Trend, Muqtada al-Sadr, to discuss the political crisis after the end of the set time to Maliki to respond to the letter of Erbil meeting.
