Hakim receives Maliki’s congratulations for re-electing him as Head of SIIC
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki, congratulated the Head of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council, Ammar al-Hakim, for being re-elected as the head of the SIIC.
A statement by the SIIC, received by IraqiNews.com on Monday, cited “Hakim received a phone call from Maliki where he congratulated him for being re-elected as the head of the SIIC during the eleventh conference of the SIIC that was held on the 19th and 20th of May in Baghdad.”
It is worth mentioning that the SIIC held its 11th General Conference to elect the Political Committee and re-nominated Hakim as it’s Head on Sunday.
