Fatlawi calls parliament to withdraw confidence from Nijaifi

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Hanan al-Fatlawi, of the State of Law Coalition called “The parliament to withdraw confidence from the Speaker, Osama al-Nijaifi, during the first session after the parliamentary holiday.

Earlier, the Parliament Speaker announced “Submitting a request to the Iraqi National Alliance to nominate a substitute to the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, within a week.”

Fatlawi stated to IraqiNews.com “It becomes necessary for the parliament to withdraw confidence form Nijaifi because he represents the parliament no more by speaking on behalf of his bloc which means that he violates the neutrality that all parliament Speakers in the world have.”

On last Tuesday, the legal expert Tariq Harb said that “The Speaker of Parliament can be dismissed through the absolute majority of the council’s members.”

It is worth mentioning that MPs from the State of Law Coalition conduct an initiative to withdraw confidence from Nijaifi.
