Mann: Iran shows flexibility during Baghdad 5+1 meeting

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The delegation of the European Union announced that the negotiations with the Iranian side witnessed progress concerning its nuclear program.

The Iraqiya Satellite Channel quoted, Michael Mann, the spokesman for EU foreign policy Chief, Catherine Ashton, as saying “Iran showed flexibility during the meeting.”

Earlier, the meeting of 5+1 started in Baghdad on Wednesday noon to negotiate over the Iranian nuclear program.

International Atomic Energy Agency chief, Yukiya Amano, on last Tuesday, said that he expects Iran to sign an agreement “quite soon” to allow inspections of facilities suspected of being used in a covert nuclear-weapons program.

Earlier, the spokesperson of the government, Ali al-Dabbagh, expressed his hope to settle the crisis over Iran nuclear program in the (5+1) meeting that will be held in Baghdad on Wednesday.
