Nijaifi condemns killing Lebanese pilgrims

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Speaker, Osama al-Nijaifi, condemned killing a number of Lebanese pilgrims coming from Syria in Anbar province by unidentified gunmen on last Wednesday.

A statement by Nijaifi’s office received by Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) cited “We condemn such ugly crimes committed by murderers against the Lebanese pilgrims in western Iraq,” expressing “His profound sadness for the victims and injured pilgrims.”

“Nijaifi called the security forces to do their best to arrest the criminals behind this crime to submit them to justice,” the statement concluded.

Earlier, unidentified gunmen attacked a bus carrying Lebanese and Iranian pilgrims by automatic weapons on Wednesday afternoon in (7 k) area of western Ramadi,” noting that “The initial count of the victims were 12 killed and injured persons. \
