Urgent – MoJ to sue Salah-il-Din’s local government

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Minister of Justice demanded to file a lawsuit against the Governor and the Provincial Council of Salah-il-Din province for closing the Real Estates Registration Office of Samara city of southern the province.

The official spokesperson of the Ministry of Justice Haider al-Saadi reported in statement to IraqiNews.com on Wednesday that “The Minister of Justice instructed the Legal Department within the Ministry of Justice to file a federal lawsuit against the management’s staff of the province for violating the law related to closing the Real Estates Registration Office in Samarra, without legal justification.”

The statement added that “The call of closing the Directorate which belongs to the Ministry of Justice by the local government of Salah-il-Din province is against the law because it has no legal or constructional authority to conduct such procedure since all the directorates of the Ministry of Justice are central and directly connected to the Federal Government.”

Al-Saadi continued saying that “The Ministry of Justice instructed the employees of the Real Estates Registration Office to commit to their official duty time and to punish the absentees, otherwise, they will face administrative punishmets in case they quitted their official duty time without any legal reason and not informing the Ministry of Justice.”
