Nineveh’s Governor concludes agreement to develop Mosul’s Airport

Nineveh, Mosul (IraqiNews.com) The Governor of Nineveh, Athel al-Nijaifi, has signed an agreement with a French company to develop Mosul Airport.

The Governorate of Mosul reported in statement to IraqiNews.com on Friday “The Governor signed with the Director of Business Development of Paris Airplanes Company, Mauricio Kabera, an agreement to develop the International Airport in the province,” noting that “This agreement is the first of its kind in the field of the International Airports between the two sides.”

Mauricio pointed out that “The preparation stages which preceded signing of the agreement continued for two years because of the US troops hindered implementing the project and due to the administrative complications of the Central Government.”

He added “But the insistence of the Nineveh’s Governor to accomplish the project to provide services to the people of the province and the attention of the Iraqi Minister of Transport by granting the priority to work in the Mosul’s Airport were inspiring
