IED defused in Maysan

Maysan, Amara (IraqiNews.com) Security force defused an Improvised Explosive Device IED in Ali Sharqi neighborhood of northern Maysan.

The Head of the Security Committee in Maysan Provincial Council Sarhan Taleb al-Ghalebi stated to IraqiNews.com that “The IED was emplaced near a citizen’s house,” noting that “The security force managed to defuse the IED without any losses.”

He added that “The security forces conducted a raid – search operation in anticipation for any other IEDs prepared to be detonated in the same area.” \
