Iraq welcomes conducting Egyptian elections

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Iraq welcomed conducting the Presidential elections in Egypt.

A statement by The Ministry of Foreign Affairs office received by Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) cited “The elections were conducted in Egypt to elect a new President for the first time since 60 years as a direct fruit for January Revolution of 2011.”

“The Iraqi Republic welcomes the elections, which were completely transparent because it is very important for creating democratic Egypt that has a basic role and significance in the region.”

Two among 13 candidates won the first round of the elections.

It is decided to conduct the second round of the elections soon to settle the nomination of one candidate.
