Mayahi: Withdrawing confidence from Premier to cause serious consequences

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The leader within the White Bloc, MP Aziz al-Mayahi, described the issue of withdrawing confidence from the PM Nouri al-Maliki as “A collapse to the political process and the democratic experience.” Mayahi said “The frequent calls for withdrawing confidence from the Premier will lead to smash the political process and perhaps the failure of the democratic experiment in Iraq as a whole, if the political sides continue in treating the crises in this way.” He added “The Iraqi condition, whether internally or through the challenges that surround Iraq due to the crises experienced by some neighboring countries such as Syria, needs to support and strengthen the government and protect the political and security situations instead of this disintegration which will lead to serious consequences.” Mayahi called “All political sides and decision makers to resort to dialogue in order to get rid of the current escalated crisis,” stating that “The first one who has called for withdrawing confidence from maliki will be the first to regret this call.”
