Sahwa leader in Anbar survives assassination

Anbar (IraqiNews.com) The Sahwa leader in Anbar province, Abdul Rahman al-Zubayi, survived assassination attempt in eastern Ramadi city on Monday.

Security source stated to IraqiNews.com “Unidentified gunmen opened fire from their silenced weapons targeting Zubayi while he was driving his vehicle in central Fallujah district.”

“He was injured seriously,” the source added, assuring that “Police force transferred him to the hospital for treatment.”
