Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki, appreciated the initiative of some MPs to form the Loyality for Iraq alliance which aims to object withdrawing confidence from the government.

A statement by Maliki’s office received by IraqiNews.com on Thursday, quoted Maliki while receiving the members of the new alliance, as saying “We do appreciate this initiative and consider it a step on the right way and we will be a part of this national trend which will save the country from the results of the sectarianism,” considering this step as “A strong one because it emerged from the suffering of the political crisis and the wrong conception of the national partnership.”

Maliki recalled the need of “The cooperation of the all the political sides to conduct dialogue in order to serve Iraq and its citizens,” he added, assuring the necessity of “Building the governmental institution and impose law in addition to keep the weapons with the government rather than the armed groups.”

For their part, the new alliance members stated that nineteen members of the alliance did not attend the meeting because of being outside of Iraq.

Some of the attendants were included in the request to withdraw confidence from Maliki without knowing that. /End
