Surgery center to be established in Basra

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Ministry of Health has concluded an agreement with the State of Kuwait to establish a specialist surgery center that accommodates (250) patients in Basra province.

The Director General of the Projects and Engineering Services Directorate within the Ministry of Health, Dhafer Mahmoud al-Saadi, said in a statement to IraqiNews.com that “The Ministry agreed to accomplish the requirements of referring the project after receiving the bids and analyzing the tenders of the companies which have expressed intentions to implement the project.”

The statement added that “The Iraqi team raised its recommendations to the Kuwaiti Cooperation Fund in order to approve referring the project to developed companies which adopt latest modern scientific methods.”

Al-Saadi pointed out that “The duration of implementing the project will be two years from the date of concluding the contract,” noting that “The surgery center will contain (12) halls for surgeries and patient’s Rooms as well as all the requirements of the surgeries.”
