Hal MP: Hal Bloc rejects toppling Maliki

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Suhad al-Ubaidi, announced suspending the signatures of the MPs of Hal bloc from the request to withdraw confidence from the Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki, because “it is a regional project.”

Speaking to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com), she stated “Hal bloc decided to suspend its MPs’ signatures from this project because it is a regional one set by Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Turkey,” noting that “Hal bloc suspended its signatures because it is not an Iraqi project in addition to that the Iraqiya Slate did not reply to the demands of the bloc.”

“This project will be followed by the project of dividing Iraq called for by the President of Kurdistan Region, Masoud Barazani, and some sides within the IS,” she added.

She assured that “There are threats by some heads of the blocs to the members of the Hal bloc,” she pointed out, noting that “Personally, I did not receive any threat till this time.”
