Preliminary elections for Sadr Trend start in southern provinces
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The preliminary elections for the candidates of the Sadr Trend have started on Friday in some of the southern provinces.
The Secretary General of Ahrar bloc, Dhia al-Asadi stated in a press statement “The first phase of the preliminary elections for the local councils has started by using the electronic fingerprint with the supervision of some observers from the United Nations and the organizations of the civil society.”
The Sadr Trend announced on the 4th of June that the preliminary elections to elect its candidates in Basra province have been conducted.
