Sadr: Martyrs freed Iraq, not political pacts

Najaf (IraqiNews.com) The head of the Sadr Trend, Muqtada al-Sadr stated “The martyrs freed Iraq from the foreign occupation and not the political pacts,” with reference to the security pact conducted between the government and the USA where the troops of the US forces have withdrawn from Iraq according to it.

Responding to a question raised by one of his followers over the calls which says that the Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki, with his diplomacy, bring the US forces out of Iraq, he said “The martyrs and the scream of the orphans freed Iraq and not the political pacts.”

It is worth mentioning that the last US soldier has withdrawn from Iraq in December 2011 according to the security pact conducted between the two sides in 2008.
