IS meeting starts in Nineveh

Nineveh (IraqiNews.com) The meeting of the Iraqiya Slate, which is headed by the Speaker Osama al-Nijaifi, was started in Nineveh province on Saturday noon.

Parliamentary source stated to IraqiNews.com “The meeting started with the attendance of the IS head, Ayad Allawi, the Deputy Premier, Salih al-Mutleg, in addition to a number of the IS leaders to discuss the issue of withdrawing confidence from the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki.”

Earlier, the Governor of Nineveh province, Athil al-Nijaifi, confirmed that “The meeting, which will be held in Nineveh on Saturday, will be attended by the Iraqiya Slate only.”

“An extended meeting will be held in Erbil province on next Sunday to discuss the same issues,” he added, stressing that “The meeting will be attended by the leaders of the Kurdistani Alliance, IS and representatives of Sadr Trend.”
