MP urges blocs to speed up holding national meeting

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The member of the State of Law Coalition, MP Abdul Salam al-Maliki, urged “The political blocs to focus on holding the national meeting as an accepted solution by all sides.”

He stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “The national meeting is the best and the warranted solution for all the disputes rather than the suspected attempt for withdrawing confidence from the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki.”

“A long time has passed by conducting failed attempts to solve the political crisis, it would be better to hold the national meeting,” he stressed.

He called “The political blocs to speed up holding the national meeting to eliminate the crisis which the Iraqis are enduring currently.”

The political scene witnesses escalated disputes among the political blocs which led some of the political sides to call for withdrawing confidence from the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki after several meetings in Erbil and Najaf provinces.

A political meeting will be held in Nineveh on Saturday. The meeting will be headed by the parliament Speaker, Osama al-Nijaifi, to discuss the political crisis.
