China to inaugurate Consulate in its Embassy in Iraq in 2012

Karbala (IraqiNews.com) China declared that it will inaugurate a Consulate in its Embassy in Iraq at the end of 2012.

The Chinese charge d’affaires of Commerce, Wang Shi Tong, reported in press conference, which was held after his participation in the ceremony of concluding an agreement between a Chinese consultancy company and the local Government of Karbala province which was attended by the correspondent of IraqiNews.com, that “The Chinese capital Beijing will emphasize its diplomatic representation in Iraq by inaugurating a Consulate in the Chinese Embassy in Iraq at the end of the current year.”

The Chinese charge d’affaires added that “The Chinese consultancy company, Huwawi, has concluded an agreement with the local government of Karbala province to establish the project of the (electronic government) which will launch from Karbala province to the rest of the Iraqi provinces.”

The Chinese charge d’affaires continued saying that “We are consulting with the Ministry of Industry and Minerals to establish a car manufacturing Factory and mobile phone Factory in Iraq.”

The Chinese charge d’affaires attributed “The poor quality of Chinese products which are sold in the Iraqi markets to the choice of the Iraqi traders who are importing low quality Chinese goods,” stressing that “China has large and varied markets and it includes high quality goods and other goods that are for commercial purposes.”
