Najaf (IraqiNews.com) The head of the Sadr Trend, Muqtada al-Sadr, revealed a document signed by him in addition to the head of the Iraqiya Slate, Ayad Allawi, the President of Kurdistan Region, Masoud Barzani, and Speaker, Osama al-Nijaifi, in which they limit the call for withdrawing confidence by the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, rather than the whole Cabinet.”

Sadr stated in the document which signed by him and the other three leaders “Post the Iraqi National Alliance’s rejection for the reformations, We, the leaders who met in Erbil, will replace Maliki by another candidate from INA, who should implement the agreements concluded with the political blocs and to adhere to the constitution, through withdrawing confidence from him rather than the government.”

Earlier, the President Jalal Talabani assured, on last Saturday night, that “The number of the MPs who have signed a request to withdraw confidence from the Premier Nouri al-Maliki reached only 160 MPs which is less than the required number limited by 163.”

The political sides which held a meeting in Erbil on last Sunday decided to send “A clarifying message to confirm that the signatures collected for withdrawing confidence from the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, are constitutionally suffesient and valid.

It is worth mentioning that the head of the Iraqiya Slate, Ayad Allawi, the Speaker, Osama al-Nijaifi, and the Deputy Premier, Salih al-Mutleg, participated in a meeting in Nineveh to discuss the efforts for withdrawing confidence from the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki.
