Arab League strongly denounces Wednesday bombings
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Arab League expressed its condemnation for the bombings that took place in Baghdad and other provinces on Wednesday.
A statement by the Arab League office received by Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) quoted the Secretary General of the AL, Nabeel al-Arabi, as “Strongly condemning the criminal bombings that led to killing and injuring many civilians.”
“These bombings targeted the citizens’ safety and aimed at destabilizing the security situation,” Arabi added.
He called “The political sides to coordinate to eliminate the political tensions through the national dialogues.”
He stressed “The importance of accomplishing the national reconciliation to achieve the security and the stability that enhances the democracy in the unified Iraq.”
Baghdad and other provinces witnessed about 30 attacks with car bombs, Improvised Explosive Devices, on Wednesday, that resulted, according to statistics prepared by IraqiNews.com, in killing and injuring 345 civilians as well as pilgrims heading to visit the Holy shrine of Imam Musa Bin Jaafar al-Kadhum.
