Barzani, Allawi, Sadr call government to neglect sectarian consequences

Erbil (IraqiNews.com) The President of Kurdistan Region, Masoud Barzani, and the head of the Iraqiya Slate, Ayad Allawi, as well as the head of the Sadr Trend, Muqtada al-Sadr, called the government to “Neglect the sectarian consequences through the media outlets and the field.”

A joint statement issued by the Presidency of Kurdistan Region received by IraqiNews.com cited “On the basis of the national and the humanitarian stance in confronting the terrorism, we condemn the bombings that took place all over Iraq on last Wednesday.”

“We call the government to exert the efforts to protect its people and land because it is responsible of the security file since it has monopolized the manipulation of the security ministries and key posts,” the statement added.

“We call the government to seek unity among the Iraqis politically and publicly to protect the homeland without exclusion of any side,” the statement concluded.

Baghdad and other provinces witnessed attacks with car bombs, Improvised Explosive Devices, on last Wednesday.

According to statistics for (IraqiNews.com), the death toll reached 354 deaths and injuries half of them were from the pilgrims in thirty bombings in nine provinces most of them were in the capital Baghdad.

An official source mentioned that “The death toll of the bombings that took place in Baghdad and some other provinces hit 83 deaths and 274 injuries.”
