Barzani denounces Wednesday terrorist attacks in Iraq

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The President of Kurdistan Region, Masoud Barzani, denounced Wednesday bombings which hit Baghdad and a number of Iraqi provinces. A statement by Kurdistan Region Presidency cited “In deep regret and anxiety, we received the news of a series of bloody terrorist bombings that took place on Wednesday in many regions of Baghdad and a number of Iraqi Cities as well as headquarters of Kurdistani Parties, targeting the masses of Shiite religious pilgrims who were in their way to commemorate the Martyrdom of Imam Kadhim, resulting in dozens of martyrs and a large number of wounded people.” Barzani added “We call on all sides to be extremely careful of the repercussions of these attacks which aim at arousing sectarian sedition among the Iraqi united communities.” According to statistics for (IraqiNews.com), the total number of victims reached 354 deaths and injuries half of them was from the pilgrims in thirty bombings by bomb cars and explosive devices in nine provinces most of them were in the capital Baghdad.
