Kurdish MP: Investigating Maliki in parliament normal issue

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Ruz Mahdi, of the Kurdistani alliance described investigating the Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki, in the parliament as a “Normal issue.”

Speaking to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com), he said “Investigating the officials in the parliament is a normal issue whether the investigated person is Maliki or another official because it is the role of the parliament.”

“The investigating side must be qualified to conduct the investigation process by having the required information and the ability of conducting the investigation,” he added.

Earlier, the spokesperson of the IS, Maysoun al-Damlouji, stated to IraqiNews.com “We managed to get the required signatures to withdraw confidence from Maliki,” noting that “The MPs’ signatures were collected from all the blocs.”

The head of the Sadr Trend, Muqtada al-Sadr, revealed that he promised the political blocs if they managed to gather 124 MPs supporting withdrawing confidence from the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, he will complete them to become 164 MPs.
