Attempt for withdrawing confidence from Maliki going on, says Naqib

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Falah al-Naqib, mentioned that “The attempt of withdrawing confidence from the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, is still going on despite the refusal of the President, Jalal Talabani, for signing the request due to the lack of the required quorum.”

He stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “We think that the signatures exceeded the required quorum but we are still waiting for the parliament session to investigate him to dismiss him according to the legal and constitutional procedures.”

“Despite the pressures, MPs from the Iraqiya Slate, Sadr Trend and the Kurdistani Alliance are still adherent to the project of withdrawing confidence from Maliki,” he concluded.
