MoE clarifies reasons behind electricity shutdown on last Friday

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Ministry of Electricity in a new statement about the entire shutdown of the electricity energy happened, on last Friday night, June, 15 that lasted two hours, clarified that “The reason behind this shutdown was related to the lack of the fuel and the low gas pressure.” The statement noted that “The work in the electricity network resumed early on Saturday morning due to efforts exerted by the ministry’s staff and under the supervision of the Minister, Karim Aftan” The Spokesperson of the MoE, Musab al-Mudaris said “Such cases require at least 72 hours in order to return part of the provided power to the service, but the Ministry’s engineering and technical cadres managed to re-operate the electricity system in a an exceptional time.”
