Urgent – Jihishi splits from IS to be independent MP

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Othman al-Jihishi, of the Iraqiya Slate announced “His split from the Slate to work as an independent MP in the parliament.

He stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “I will announced my withdrawal from the IS during a press conference later,” noting that “I will not join any other political bloc.”

“Among the reason behind my split is my desire to work as an independent MP in the Integrity Parliamentary Committee to reveal the corruption away from the pressures from the IS,” he added.

“The continuity of the political crisis is also among the reasons behind my split,” he mentioned, stressing that “My split does mean that the IS deviated from its correct performance rather it comes to avoid pressures when calling for the rights of the Iraqis.”

Earlier, Many MPs split from the IS, forming the White bloc and the Patriots bloc in addition to Hurra Iraqiya bloc.
