Nineveh contracted employees demonstrate calling for permanent employment

Nineveh, Mosul (IraqiNews.com) Dozens of the contracted employees who work for the Electricity Distribution Directorate of Nineveh province, demonstrated demanding to appoint them as permanent employees.

The correspondent of IraqiNews.com reported on Monday that ”Dozens of the contracted employees, who receive daily wages, have demonstrated inside the gas station in Mansour area of southern Mosul.”

“The demonstrators demanded to appoint them on the permanent staff since they have spent years working according to ministerial contracts on bases of daily wages,” the reporter added, noting that “The Ministry of Electricity made many promises to appoint them within the permanent cadre but it did not implement the promises so far.” \
