Citizen bloc to discuss strengthening parliament role

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Citizen bloc will hold a meeting on Wednesday to discuss strengthening the parliament role and to reunite the political blocs.

MP, Hamid al-Khudhari, stated to IraqiNews.com “The bloc will discuss the important laws that consolidate the citizen’s interests including the Law of the Independent High Electoral Commission, the Law of the Federal Court, the Law of Oil and Gas and the Parties Law in addition to some other laws that will have positive impact on the citizens.”

“The meeting will tackle the issue of withdrawing confidence from the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki,” he added.

Iraq witnesses a political crisis that was escalated among the political blocs especially after the withdrawal of the US Troops at the end of 2011.
