MoYS denies website’s statements attributed to its Inspector General

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Ministry of Youth and Sports disclaimed the statements published by certain websites which are attributed to the Ministry’s Inspector General, Abdul Hassan Jamal. A statement by the MoYS mentioned “A website has posted statements claimed to be issued by the Inspector General Abdul Hassan Jamal, who considered them mere fabrications and lies invented by the publisher who did not mention his name.” “In this regard, The IG asserted that he made no statements for any journalist working for this website,” stressing that what is published in these statements aims to defame the Ministry’s good reputation. “Jamal justified publishing these false statements to the great progress and successes achieved by the MoYS during the last few years, also to the noteworthy progress in the field of fighting corruption,” the statement added. It is mentioned that one of the websites has published on Tuesday, June, 19^th statements attributed to the MoYS’ Inspector General, Jamal, revealing “existance of administrative and financial corruption cases in the Ministry.”
