Sadr: Withdrawing confidence from Maliki not to succeed ‘Without Talabani’s signature

Najaf (IraqiNews.com) The head of the Sadr Trend, Muqtada al-Sadr, confirmed that “The attempt of withdrawing confidence from the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, will not succeed without the signature of the President, Jalal Talabani, on the request.”

In response to question by one of his followers over the possibility of not signing that request by Talabani, he said “There is no other way to withdrawing confidence from Maliki without Talabani’s signature on the request.”

“I do not like to follow another way to topple Maliki,” he concluded.

Iraq witnesses a political crisis that was escalated among the political blocs especially after the withdrawal of the US Troops at the end of 2011.
