White bloc expects current crisis to continue till next elections

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The White bloc expected “The crisis of withdrawing confidence from the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, to continue till conducting the next parliamentary elections.”

The spokesman of the bloc, Kadhim al-Shimmari, stated to IraqiNews.com “The sides of Erbil and Najaf meetings face a crisis related to gathering the required MPs’ signatures for toppling Maliki because he managed to win some MPs for his side and convincing some other MPs to be neutral concerning this issue.”

“The current crisis may last for months,” he concluded.

Iraq witnesses a political crisis that was escalated among the political blocs especially after the withdrawal of the US Troops at the end of 2011.

Earlier, the President Jalal Talabani assured, on last Saturday night, that the number of the MPs who have signed a request to withdraw confidence from the Premier Nouri al-Maliki reached only 160 MPs which is less than the required number limited by 163.
