MoWR plans to provide Muthanna province with crude water

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Minister of Water Resources Mohannad al-Saidi assured that “The ministry is implementing currently a project to transfer water to Muthanna province through pipes to ensure not trespassing on Muthanna’s share of crude water by other provinces.” Saidi said “The Ministry is implementing many irrigation projects all over provinces including Muthanna where the MoWR took the required measures to provide the waters to the agrarian lands to ensure implementing the agricultural plan of winter and summer seasons.” A statement by the Ministry of Water Resources cited “This declaration came during a meeting held between the Minister al-Saidi with the MP Faleh al-Sari of Muthanna province, where they discussed the means of providing the water shares for the agrarian lands as well as developing the irrigation and agrarian posture in the province.”
