Jumaili instructs to speed up implementing 2nd steam power station in Hilla before Ramadan
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Minister of Electricity Karim Aftan al-Jumaili emphasized the necessity to “expedite completing the Implementation of the 2nd steam power station project in Hilla city in order to enter the service before the next Fasting month,” noting that “This station will add 250 MW to the national electricity grid.” A statement by the MoE cited “These instructions came during the common field tours conducted by the Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs, Hussein Shahristani and the Minister of Electricity al-Jumaili where they observed the site of the 2nd Steam station project in Hilla to check what has been achieved in this project.” “An expanded meeting was held with the administrative office of the project to review the obstacles that face implementing the project and the means to relief them,” the statement concluded.
