White Bloc: Maliki’s statements to “prolong crisis”

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The White Bloc described the recent statements of the Iraqi Premier Nouri al-Maliki as “a chance to prolong the age of the current crisis.”

Spokesperson of the White Bloc MP Kadhim al-Shimmery said in a statement to IraqiNews.com on Monday “The statement of Maliki over rejection of the parliament to proceed with the steps of withdrawing confidence or investigation processes because the will of the Parliament is kidnapped will prolong the crisis.”

“Maliki is turning from defensive into offensive style,” he added, noting that “Maliki’s statements represent cleat attack on his rivals from Erbil-Najaf group which will extend the period of the crisis while all efforts are supposed to focus on holding the national meeting to end disputes.”
