Jumaili: We respect SLC members’ will to topple Nijaifi

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The head of the Iraqiya Parliamentary bloc, Salman al-Jumaili, stated that he is supporting any constitutional step that aims to correct the political process.

Speaking to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com), he stated “We will respect the will of the members of the State of Law Coalition to conduct their constitutional right to withdraw confidence from the Speaker, Osama al-Nijaifi.”

“We hope the SLC MPs to respect the others’ will to conduct their constructional right to investigate the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki or withdraw confidence from him,” he added.

Some SLC MPs threatened to withdraw confidence from Nijaifi as a reply to the insistence of the Iraqiya Slate to topple Maliki.
