CoMSG, USAID discuss promoting E-government project

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Directorate of the Citizens’ Affairs and Public Relations within the Secretariat General of the Cabinet, discussed with representatives from The American Agency for International Development USAID, the means of developing the first stage of the project of E-Government (the electronic program of receiving the citizens’ requests). A statement by the SG cited “The meeting also discussed the project of linking the Departments of Citizens’ Affairs in all Ministries and Governorates into one common switchboard for hot lines.” The statement referred that “The most important outcomes of the meeting is to begin the second phase of the project besides expanding its scope to cover all ministries and Governorates.” “It is hoped that the USAID to assume offering the technical and media support to promote the project by assigning an expert who is specialized in affairs of websites,” the statement concluded.
