Dahuk (IraqiNews.com) The Directorate of Antiques announced discovering documents in two holes dated back to the Zaradashtiy era in Dohouk province. A statement by the Office of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, quoted the Director General of the DA in Dohouk, Hassan Ahmed Kasim as saying “After drilling operations carried out by the Directorate of Antiques in Dohouk, we found archeological documents related to Zaradashtiy civilization in two holes in (Brashi) village of (Jamanki) district in Dohouk province.” “These documents are dated back for thousands of years prior to Christianity,” he added, stressing that “They represent further evidence among dozens of evidences of the long history of the Kurdish civilization in the region.” Zaradashtiy civilization, according to its founder Zaradasht, is among the oldest known monotheistic religions in the world. It was founded more than 3000 years B.C. in what is known today the State of Iran that follows the teachings of Zaradasht. “This doctrine did not become extinct but it exists in small minorities,” the statement concluded.
