Zebari receives Libyan delegation

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Foreign Affairs Minister, Hoshyar Zebari, received at the ministry’s HQ, Suleiman Al-Fortia, Member of the Libyan Transitional National Council, and his accompanying delegation on Wednesday.

A statement by the Ministry received by IraqiNews.com cited “Zebari praised the participation of the Head of the Libyan Transitional National Council, Advisor Mustafa Abdel Jalil in Baghdad Summit.”

“During the meeting bilateral relation and means to consolidate it were discussed, the Minister expressed Iraq’s readiness to put its experience in the democratic transform and writing the constitution to serve the brotherly Libyan people,” the statement added.

“Zebari assured his support to reopen the Libyan Embassy in Baghdad for the interests of the two countries’ people, who have historical relations. Issue of the Libyan detainees and prisoners in Iraq was also discussed,” the statement concluded.
