Aliyev, Shawis assure necessity of developing Mutual relations

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, assured that “The mutual relations with Iraq are historical and they are successfully developing,” pointing out that there are possibilities to extend these relations in the future.

An official statement by Azerbaijani presidency cited “Aliyev received the Iraqi Deputy Premier for the economic affairs, Ruz Nouri Shawis and the accompanying delegation.”

“Aliyev referred to the mutual relations in the political field, stressing the necessity of supporting each other in the international community,” the statement added.

“Aliyev stressed the necessity of Shawis’s participation in Crans Montana Forum, assuring that the visit will be important to discuss the issues related to the mutual relations,” the statement pointed out.

According to the statement, “Shawis conveyed greetings of President, Jalal Talabani, and Premier, Nouri al-Maliki to Aliyev and expressed happiness to visit Azerbaijan and meeting Aliyev.”
