Amal Gathering denies reports over its members’ secession in Dhi-Qar

Dhi-Qar (IraqiNews.com) Amal Gathering denied the reports over some of its members’ secession in Dhi-Qar province on Saturday.

The member of the Central Leadership and the spokesman of the Gathering, Ahmed Salim al-Saidi, stated to IraqiNews.com “The aim behind these false reports is to deceive the people achieving the great success by this gathering under the leadership of The Head of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council, Ammar al-Hakim,” noting that “These reports are groundless.”

“The members of the gathering leadership in Dhi-Qar and the other provinces are holding meetings with Hakim in Baghdad since three days,” he mentioned.

Earlier, some media outlets mentioned that 1200 members split from the gathering in Dhi-Qar province.
