Jihaishi accuses political blocs of disturbing passing laws

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Independent MP Othman al-Jihaishi accused some political blocs in the Parliament of “deliberately forbid passing important laws.” MP Jihaishi added “Among these laws are the Oil and Gas Law draft, Political Parties Law draft, Amending Elections Law and Federal Court Law draft,” noting that “Some blocs do not want to endorse laws since ratifying these laws may affect the large blocs’ interests.” “There is ambiguity concerning the Oil and Gas Law in terms of the exports and imports,” he mentioned, stressing that “This law if enacted will chart a strategic policy for the issue of distributing oil wealth.” He revealed that “Some political parties practice smuggling processes in oil sector.”
