Batiekh criticizes parliament, its chairmanship for weak performance

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Secretary General of the White bloc, Jamal al-Batiekh, criticized the performance of the parliament and its chairmanship especially the Speaker, Osama al-Nijaifi, due to his monopolization for the decisions and for working for the advantages of his bloc.”

He stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “The performance of the parliament currently is below the desired level,” noting that “A lot of the significant law drafts are hurdled like the Parties Law, Elections Law as well as the Oil and Gas Law in addition to a number of laws that concern the citizens’ life.”

Some MPs from the State of Law Coalition called for withdrawing confidence from the Speaker, Osama al-Nijaifi.

It is worth mentioning that Iraq witnesses a political crisis that was escalated among the political blocs especially after the withdrawal of the US Troops at the end of 2011.
