ICP supports Maliki’s call for dialogue, conducting early elections

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Iraqi Communist Party expressed its support for the call of the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, for conducting early elections or launching dialogue.

A statement by Maliki’s office received by IraqiNews.com cited “Maliki received The Secretary General of the ICP and a number of the leaders within the Party.”

“Both sides discussed the political updates and stressed the necessity of consolidating the unity among all sides,” the statement added.

“The delegation expressed their support for Maliki’s call for either conducting the dialogue or resorting to early elections,” the statement concluded.
